Beginning in 2026, Big Ten teams must submit availability reports by 8 p.m. ET each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before conference games. The game-day report will remain due two hours before kickoff.

Midweek reports will list players as Probable, Questionable, Doubtful, Out or Out (1st Half). On game day, teams will use Game Time Decision, Out and Out (1st Half); players omitted from that report are considered available.

Penn State’s games against Marshall on Sept. 5, Temple on Sept. 12 and Buffalo on Sept. 19 are non-conference matchups, so they are outside the midweek requirement. The Sept. 26 home game against Wisconsin is a conference game and will fall under the new policy.
