Clemson defensive tackle Vic Burley was suspended indefinitely after his arrest for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning. Police found Burley asleep behind the wheel of his truck at 2:15 a.m. Another student was lying beside the truck and told officers that he and his fiancée had been drinking and were waiting for Burley to drive them home. Officers smelled marijuana after opening the truck door and had difficulty waking Burley. Burley received a conditional discharge related to the arrest. He later apologized to Clemson’s coaches, teammates, university and fans, saying he had work to do to regain their trust. Burley also thanked the Clemson University police officers for treating him professionally. His status with the team is unresolved.
