Delaware landed a commitment Friday from 2027 four-star quarterback Julian Reese II of Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas.
Reese is ranked No. 399 overall and No. 28 among 2027 quarterbacks in the Rivals Industry Ranking. Delaware beat Houston, UNLV, UTEP and other programs for the commitment.
Delaware recruited Reese to play quarterback rather than as an athlete who could change positions. In 12 games last fall, he accounted for more than 3,000 passing yards, 31 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing touchdowns. Reese is entering his senior season and is the third blue-chip senior committed to a Group of Six program.
