Five-star defensive lineman Jalen Brewster has shut down his recruitment and plans to remain committed to Texas Tech. Brewster told Steve Wiltfong on Wednesday that Texas Tech stands out because of how the program supports its players, practices with game-level intensity, and emphasizes its culture. He later told Hayes Fawcett that he believes Texas Tech is the best place for him to build his own legacy. Brewster previously left the Lone Star State to attend Buford in Georgia, where Texas Tech continued recruiting him. LSU and other major programs had pushed for his commitment, but Brewster said he is no longer considering a change.
