After visiting Georgia in Athens during the past weekend, four-star Sandy Creek safety Corey Hadley has become a potential flip target while remaining committed to Nebraska, where he pledged in April.
Hadley told On3: “With this being a big decision, it can never be over until it's really over. You've got to think that's always the hometown team. You've just got to keep your options open. With me being from Georgia, I have to be interested. And at the end of the day, I've got to be able to hear everybody out.”
That keeps Georgia in the race without signaling that Hadley is ready to leave Nebraska. The 2027 prospect ranks just outside Georgia's top 10, among the nation's top 20 safeties and inside the national top 150 in the 247Sports Composite. A flip would give Georgia one of its best in-state recruits.
Hadley is listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds and has been productive at Sandy Creek. Georgia has not said whether it offered him a scholarship, and Hadley has not announced a decision date or said he will decommit. Georgia's next game is at Arkansas on Sept. 19. For now, Nebraska has Hadley's commitment, and Georgia has his attention.

The hidden contest is between programs whose identical 2-0 starts obscure different recent baselines. Georgia went 12-2 and 7-1 in the SEC in 2025, then opened 2026 ranked No. 2 in both preseason polls. Nebraska came off 7-6 and 4-5 in the Big Ten. Hadley’s commitment therefore carries more weight for Nebraska than the shared 2026 record suggests, while Georgia is trying to bring an in-state, top-150 safety into a class that did not have its best run over the summer.
The pursuit also overlaps with sharper schedule turns: Georgia hosts Oklahoma on Sept. 26 and visits Alabama on Oct. 10; Nebraska visits Michigan State on Sept. 26 and Oregon on Oct. 17. Hadley has set no decision date, leaving those results to become part of each program’s case.
