Jake Plummer knows the feeling. In 2005, Denver had the best record in football, beat defending champion New England in the divisional playoff game and lost at home to Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game. The Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl.

At USAA's military boot camp Wednesday at Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit, Plummer said Denver must move on from its 2025 home AFC title-game loss, when it started a backup quarterback.

"The offseason is short because you're playing all the way almost till the Big Dance, so you got to get it out of your system quick," Plummer said.
