Smith said the program’s culture and stadium keep drawing him back.
“I feel like the culture there is something different. We have the best stadium in the SEC and it shows,” Smith said.
The visits give Texas A&M another chance to keep a key defensive-line recruiting piece in its class rather than reopen that spot to other programs. Smith’s pledge follows an 11-2 season for the Aggies, who went 7-1 in SEC play.
Texas A&M hosts Arizona State on Sept. 12, one week after the opener. Smith’s other game-day visit remains undated, with no opponent identified. His recruiting-class year and expected enrollment date also remain unspecified.
