When LSU hosts Clemson on Saturday, Sept. 5, Lane Kiffin will make his debut with a transfer-heavy roster built around quarterback Sam Leavitt, whose recovery from a Lisfranc injury leaves the most important piece of the makeover uncertain.
LSU hired Kiffin away from Ole Miss after a 7-6 season and followed with one of the most aggressive transfer classes in the country. Leavitt transferred from Arizona State after going 16-4 as a starter over two seasons, but LSU has not announced whether he will start against Clemson or whether he is fully healthy.
