Capers arrived in Louisville as a highly touted recruit after reclassifying into the 2023 class and joining the Cardinals a year early. An early adjustment period and a hand injury that cost him part of the 2024 season slowed his start. Last season brought the first sustained chance to show what Louisville had signed. Capers played in all 13 games, made 46 tackles and intercepted a pass against then-No. 2 Miami in his hometown to help seal the Cardinals’ win.
