Wisconsin safety commit and former Florida State pledge Mekhi Williams has a reported 50-50 chance to attend the Seminoles’ Aug. 29 opener against New Mexico State, according to a source cited by 247Sports.
It would be Williams’ first Florida State visit since he flipped from the Seminoles over the summer. Williams, a Top247 prospect, is ranked No. 219 nationally, No. 18 at safety and No. 25 among Florida recruits in the 2027 class.
Williams has said he is completely locked in with Wisconsin but does not want to close the door on Florida State. The Seminoles already have four-star safety Ta'Shawn Poole and three-star safety Jemari Foreman committed in the 2027 cycle.
