Kansas is scheduled to open the 2026 season against Long Island University on Friday, Sept. 4, at 8 p.m. ET, with Isaiah Marshall taking over as the Jayhawks’ starting quarterback.
Marshall will work with two new wide receivers, transfer running back Dylan Edwards and an almost entirely rebuilt offensive line. LIU is the first live evaluation before Kansas hosts Missouri on Sept. 11.
