Penn State held its first Victory Day at Beaver Stadium on Friday evening. Football players, cheerleaders and the Blue Band joined dozens of families and children with disabilities for drills, simulated goal-line plays and touchdown celebrations.
Matt Campbell previously held similar events at Toledo and Iowa State. He said high school coaching colleague Aaron Segedi inspired the idea.
“I just felt if I could bring this to college football and teach our young guys the value of making a difference in our community, I thought it was really important,” Campbell said.
