Lane Kiffin has added three players previously on NFL rosters to LSU's roster, but their Week 1 eligibility remains unresolved.

The NCAA adopted a 2026 rule allowing players five years of eligibility. Power 4 conferences have also created rules intended to prevent NFL-roster players from joining college teams. Under SEC rules, a coach who violates those rules would be suspended for half the season, fined and cost his school SEC voting rights.

On his podcast, Aaron Torres called Kiffin a con man and alleged that when Kiffin left Tennessee for USC, Kiffin and Ed Orgeron told recruits or players not to enroll in classes so they could transfer.

The three LSU players have not been identified, and neither LSU nor the SEC has taken a public position. LSU hosts Clemson on Sept. 5.
