ESPN College GameDay host Rece Davis listed Oklahoma among six teams he sees in the College Football Playoff mix entering 2026.

Davis named Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Alabama, BYU and SMU. Four are SEC teams, though Davis currently projects the conference to have three playoff teams after five made it last season.

"The SEC had five last year. I've got them with three," Davis said. "I think when we get to that final day, if I'm making that prediction now, I've got six teams potentially in the mix… those six teams: Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Alabama, BYU and SMU."

Oklahoma made the playoff last season under Brent Venables after going 10-3, including 6-2 in conference play. The Sooners are No. 10 in the AP preseason poll and No. 9 in the AFCA Coaches Poll. Davis did not explain Oklahoma's placement or rank the six teams.
