Texas plays Ohio State on Sept. 12, UTSA the following week and opens SEC play at Tennessee on Sept. 26 at noon ET. Unlike the previous two seasons, Texas has no bye or stay-home week before conference play because of the SEC's move to a nine-game schedule.

The Tennessee trip is Texas' first SEC road test. Tennessee is No. 20 in the AP preseason poll and No. 18 in the Coaches poll; Texas is No. 5 in the AP poll and No. 4 in the Coaches poll.

Texas then hosts Florida on Oct. 17, immediately after the Oct. 10 Oklahoma game.
