UCF defensive back Braeden Marshall will return for a fourth season in 2026, saying he has “unfinished business” with the Knights.

Marshall’s decision keeps an experienced defensive back in the program after UCF finished 5-7 overall and 2-7 in Big 12 play in 2025. He also discussed taking on a leadership role as the Knights turn toward 2026.

Marshall said he wants to show UCF is “The Real Deal.” Creating turnovers is a team emphasis he identified for the defense.

UCF opens the 2026 season Thursday, Sept. 3, against Bethune-Cookman.
